Jack’s Takes: Italian cuisine like you’ve never seen
Everyone knows that Italian food is held in high regard, and for good reason. When done well, nothing can beat a delicious bowl of risotto, carbonara, or bruschetta. The operative words being “done well”, of course…
This meal you see before is the invention of an anonymous Minnesota mom called “spaghetti-o pie”, and it has the internet confused about what they are seeing:
It’s a pretty simple recipe: pie crust, two cans of spaghetti, buttered bread (using your arms as rolling pins), a generous helping of garlic salt, and a dash (more like a splash) of milk.
Needless to say, the internet has reacted very strongly to this woman’s recipe. I am not going to lie though, I would definitely try it. After all, it’s not like I could do much better.
But I largely agree with the negative consensus. This is less of a chef’s kiss, and more like a chef’s miss…
