Thrifting
Kids grow so fast. Yes, it's sad to look at the baby pictures and remember when they were so cute and small. I personally get more upset because my wallet is taking a beating. It feels like every other week they need new shoes or new pants. They Rolle around in mud and ruined the $30 jeans you JUST bought them. I don't know why we are trying to dress our 4 year olds as Ralph Lauren models when they literally don't care. Thrifting has saved me so much time and money over the years.
Thrifting has been a HUGE trend lately and that's definitely not a bad thing. You can find some really cool stuff. Trent goes through a pair of pants so often I have to stock up on 10 pairs at a time because I just assume he's going to destroy them in a week. He's an eight year old boy. He likes to run around outside and play in dirt. I encourage him to do that. Instead of freaking out about his clothes getting dirty, if he ruins them, I can get him $3 pair of pants from Savers to replace them.
That's Adorable, Hope Gospel, Savers and Once Upon a Child are my absolute favorite places to find kids clothes in Eau Claire. I noticed that every time I go to Goodwill in town they don't have a great selection for kids.
I always find the cutest stuff for myself while thrifting for the kids. All these youngins think they are bringing the 90's back. Let's remind them who ruled the 90's and early 2000's. They may dress like we did, but they will never have the satisfaction of their parents not being able to get a hold of them until they decide to come home. Sorry about that mom. Also, please leave low rise jeans in the early 2000's where they belong.
