New Years Eve Party
I can't believe another year is on it's way out. The kids are getting big with bigger attitudes. I feel like I woke up one morning and they turned from sweet, loving children into TV and video game obsessed gremlins.
I didn't get to have the New Year's Eve experience as a young adult until last year when Trent decided to spend New Years with his dad. Up until then we have had our own personal party, and let me tell you, it was a rager. Popcorn, sparkling juice, all the candy you can imagine, pizza that could feed a family of twenty-five. I don't mess around when it comes to snacks.
But before you can load up on snacks you need to pick a movie series you can binge until midnight. So far we have binged Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Next on our list is Indiana Jones. Like I said, we go hard on New Years Eve.
I used to get sad I was stuck home every year, but it grew on me. Snuggling up on the couch with the kiddos, gorging ourselves on junk food and binging GOOD movies sounds much more fun than drinking until 2 am. Maybe I'm getting old, or maybe I just found peace in making my own party at home.
Cheers to the New Year,
Bri
